Community Missionary

 
I was born and raised in the Cincinnati Area. My husband and I met through BLOC and live across the street from the after-school program site. He is the Director of After-School Programs so we get the privilege of working together to serve the neighborhood we love. I think of myself as an urban hippie. I love natural living in the inner city. I have been working with BLOC on and off since 2015, but I started consistently working here in 2017. I am the Mission Director for BLOC, which means that I communicate, write itineraries, and serve alongside mission teams wanting to come work with BLOC in serving the neighborhood of Price Hill. I love Price Hill. I love the people. I love the neighborhood. And I believe I have been called to show the love of Jesus here by living “life on life” with my neighbors. I want everyone to come here, meet the people, hear their stories, and fall in love with this neighborhood like I have. That’s why I adore leading mission teams. 

I also believe that having a healthy team and taking care of your team is so important in ministry. I am honored that I get to be a part of that by being the Girls Discipleship Director for the After-School Program.
